Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

This programme is a comprehensive undergraduate programme designed to develop competent, ethical, and skilled physiotherapy professionals capable of addressing a wide range of physical and functional impairments. It focuses on building a strong foundation in basic medical sciences, physiotherapy principles, and evidence-based clinical practice. Students are trained in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of movement disorders, utilizing therapeutic approaches such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and rehabilitation techniques.

The programme integrates classroom learning with extensive clinical training and hands-on exposure. Core areas include Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy, Exercise Therapy, and Electrotherapy, enabling students to develop strong clinical reasoning and patient management skills.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and English
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB for General/EWS candidates
  • Minimum 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) and PwD candidates (as per norms)
  • English is compulsory for all categories
